Parallel events in Vovousa, Ioannina June 29th 2013
At the start of 2013 phasma2 embarked on a long term project documenting “WATER” in all it’s aspects, from the casual and playful to its much more serious environmental significance.
The first part of this project is already under way in the northern village of Vovousa, where six of our photographers have become deeply involved with the local population. The planned building of a massive dam diverting the river Aoos; a river which is the life blood of this community and its environs; now threatens their entire way of life and possibly the very existence of the village.
